Examples of some of my many hundreds of interior layouts for Locus Magazine, featuring my original art, collages, design, and typography (except the Brom, Kathleen Jennings, John Picacio, and Charles Vess interviews at the end which of course showcase the artists’ own talents). Ursula Vernon’s collage layout incorporates a bird drawn by Ursula herself and the Nghi Vo layout tiger is inspired by Jane Cho of Outer Limits Tattoo. Some layouts include both print and digital versions so you can see how the material is reworked, which I think is fun. Print layouts are two-page spreads, so imagine the fold in the middle.
